1.0 out of 5 stars rubbish, rubbish, rubbish 29 Jun 2008
the makers of this dvd clearly know nothing about the history of england. the reason is this....100 greatest goals ?......england only ever found the back of the net at home apparently ( apart from the 5.1 win in germany ) and also, is there anyone who thinks the goal from john barnes against brazil in 1984 should have been somewhere in that top 100 if not at number one, it was the best ever, even featuring in the dvd boys from brazil which is supposed to be about brazil ! In a word this is rubbish, and not the best of the england team....i threw it in the bin

No John Barnes goal v brazil, no Gazza goal versus Scotland, none from the 1-5 v Germany in Munich nor the 4-1 v Holland. Couldn't really take it seriously after that!

3.0 out of 5 stars 100 goals not all great 14 Nov 2012

Besides the tinny intrusive soundtrack and dated editing, this is another run of the mill England dvd with recyled footage that you will find on other dvds made by this company. Maybe a lot of the classic stuff is under copyright i.e John Barnes goal against Brazil which has to rank as the greatest individual piece of skill seen in a white shirt. There are a lot of goals scored in friendlies and a few deflected shots which count as own goals the last time I looked. There are great goals on offer here but a lot of filler as well.

Shame the world cup has not added some great England goals to produce a Volume 2...
