I have bought this book recently. I can tell you that this book is very useful for every marine engineering students or officers. However, the printing quality of this book is very poor. There are several pages printed with lighter color ( like insufficient of ink ) making you difficult to read.
I have also bought vol 8 from amazon usa but it doesnt have any quality problem so I guess amazon usa has better quality control of the books

I bought this book as I've been in the marine industry for 8 years working on a ferry and my knowledge has depleted somewhat. This book is a great refresher. I maybe should have bought the version that focuses on Auxilary Machinery but this is a great book all the same.
