A couple of issues I had with the Energie Radio Controlled Sockets:
1: The setup instructions are divided into two sections, "First Time Installation" and "To Program a Different Button Into Memory". I went with First Time Installation on the not unreasonable premise that I'd bought a new system. I got nowhere - none of the Radio Controlled Sockets responded to the remote control no matter what I tried. The remote control lights lit up with each key press, but the sockets were all dead. So I then tried the second set of instructions, even though they appear to be for reprogramming sockets that have already been used. Anyway, that worked fine, so I would suggest, even if you think your kit is new, that you do the same: Instructions a) and b) in the second set, then Instructions 3, 4 and 5 from the first set. Worked fine.
2: The other problem was that the sockets don't work reliably if they are too close together. I had intended to have three of them in a 4-gang extension lead but, unlike my old Brennenstuhl kit, they were all over the place. I did some experimenting and concluded that the Energie sockets need to be a centimetre or more apart for reliable working. New extension lead required!
