I have been involved with electronics, and batteries, and their technology, in a loose sort of way for many years. It all kicked off with a visit to the Varta research facilty in Germany. Like many others, in the early days I believed that a battery, was a battery, was a battery. That visit changed my opinion for ever. About 2 years ago our Sanyo technical support Rep made me aware of these new batteries. They arrive fully charged ready for work, have miniscule self discharge rates, and superb power provision. Suffice to say, I was not about to be impressed by a manufacturers "spec" sheet, so I ordered 16 of these cells and the associated chargers for use in our cameras. (Bog standard Fuji units with a few decent bells and whistles, but nothing exotic) We have found that it is not unusual to get a weeks worth of daylight pictures from one charged set of batteries. (2 x AA) Heavy use of the LCD screen and flash have never seen us need a second set of batteries throughout a long evenings picture taking. If anything is worth its money, these are. Simply brilliant value, highly recommended. And still as good as ever 2 years on, despite indifferent treatment.
