Format:Audio CD
If this cd were a word it would be 'bliss'. The sultry, soothing guitar tones make for easy listening and the tracks seem to glide by with ease. I first heard these lot with the Strokes, and was instantly hooked to the whining, alien guitar feedback which is such an important part of Longwave. 'Endsongs has a wide varitey of tracks. There are the uplifting songs ('Crushed down and faded'), the 'make you love life' song ('Make me whole') and the blissfull, relaxing and melodic 'Something'. This is truly a CD worth checking out and although Longwave won't really change your life, it makes for easy listening and a good CD to pick when you need to feel a whole lot better about yourself and more at peace with the world.charlie boy

I own and love all three of Longwave's latest albums, but I was a little cautious buying this album, as even the best bands have very poor debut albums.
However I was pleasantly surprised when I popped the CD in and played it start to end and realised it was extremely listenable and some of the songs were pretty good! As always, Longwave were spot on with everything from drums to guitars to bass, and as always, Steve Schiltz's vocals leave a lasting impression.
I would highly recommend this CD to all Longwave fans. If you don't get it, you're missing out!
However, if you're new to Longwave, I would suggest you go for their second album 'The Strangest Things' instead =)

A gratifying musical experience

When I first heard about Longwave I built up a rather extraordinary expectation of what they might sound like. Upon receiving the album I was confused and not particularly happy with my purchase. Later that night I decided to give it another listen while riding my bike home from work. Not only did my opinion of the music change but my expectations of the band had disappeared and were replaced with a non-judgemental approach to their work (somethimes you just have to allow the music to speak to you). I found (and still find) great lyrics and great music. Some of the concepts that are being used are brilliant and thought provoking in a reflective, life-affirming way. I look forward to more in the future from Longwave

Actually, the title pretty much says it all, guitar in the style of Paul Reynolds from the 80's new wave rockers A Flock of Seagulls combined with some catchy songs and there you go.

the greatest rock album ever

if you get a chance to them live do so, they put on the best live show i have seen in a long time. the album is just as good with layer upon layer of guitars and some of greatest hook lines that you wont be able to get out of your head. comparing them to anybody jsut doenst work but if i had to i would say radiohead with john lennon and david bowie. just buy it and turn it up to 10 and get ready to rock.
