The last in Moorcock's Dancers At The End Of Time trilogy (following An Alien Heat and The Hollow Lands), The End Of All Songs reunites Jherek Carnelian and Amelia Underwood at the end of time, and reveals the ultimate fate of the last of humanity. Conceptually this is one of Moorcock's strongest series, but at double the length of the previous volumes, and with only a slight plot, this last novel does tend to drag at times. A rather languid end to an initially fast moving comedy, The End Of All Songs is rich in exotic characters, but very short on plot.

I loved this trilogy. It's too bad the song had to end. This answers all the questions about the end of time, what happens, who ends up with who, and how who ends up. For a good time, read the Dancers at the End of Time series.

I was reminded of Captain Mubbers and his crew by someone posting a message to a forum containing the word 'Ferkit'.
This is the last of the 'End of Time' trilogy and sews the story up very nicely.
As with The Hollow Lands, it is also hilarious sci-fi. The Hollow Lands is the best of the trilogy, but you cannot really review any single book by itself. It is a story spread over 3 books, none of which makes much sense without reading the other 2.
The almost perfect sci-fi story. Imaginative, original and very funny.

In an ironic twist, Jherek Carnelian and Amelia Underwood are now stuck at the beginning of time, rather than the end, or at least the beginning as far as the Earth is concerned.
Miraculous rescue happens, and they are again at the End of Time, but the very dangerous pointy end, and what has Lord Jagged got to do with all of this?
