Bought this for my husband who is not a complete beginner but just wanting to do more for a hobby. He has found the book informative and well thought out with some interesting projects at the end. He would have liked more information on types of wood and maybe instructions as to how to use some of the tools, but given the size of the book thinks it is pretty good. Would recommend to any one as a good reference book.

I have purchased a few books on woodworking and i feel this book provides a solid introduction to the world of woodworking. There is a section for wood types, tools, how-to, and projects. Definitely worth the $8 i spent.
