I first read this book when I was much younger than I am now and since then I have loved it! This book is a must read for anyone interested in Folklore or Mystical Beasts. This book has a wonderful archive of definitions, descriptions and history. In some of the more well known cases (eg Vampires or Frankenstein's Monster) it gives brief but absorbable short stories from the folklore of the beast. The only reason that i have not givin this book a perfect score is that with so many differant beasts included some descriptions are smaller than others but really thats it! I loved it and you will too! it's really a damn good book!
