This is one book every healer must have for ready reference. I would recommend reading it with Dr. Jerry Epstein's Healing Visualizations: Creating Health Through Imagery. It is the most definite reference on the subject of visualization and a great gift to mankind.

A book you can mine for many years to come 16 Dec 2012
By Mark Terrell - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
For anyone interested in mental imagery as part of life's spiritual process this book is gold. The contemplations that often go with the imagery exercises are sometimes inexplicable, but as invocations the metaphorical right brain seems to understand them perfectly. And there is enough material that you can practice something different everytime and then every now and then you will come across an exercise that seems to demand repitition. Working with this kind of material can therefore also be an exercise in intuition and paying attention to your self at a deeper level that you might normally. Mental imagery practiced in relatively short bursts,as prescribed here, is a somewhat unique approach to the subject. Practiced mindfully the practitioner realizes fairly quickly that consciousness can be shifted quite dramatically in mere moments. Over time, consciousness can be rebuilt in the same way. A nice touch is that there are imagery exercises designed to evoke the spirit of many different traditions, as well as aid healing of mind and body. The book's content is therefore universal in its appeal. There are also teachings embedded in the book that reveal an approach to everyday life that should appeal to anyone wishing to deepen their relationship to the unseen world of spirit, a world I might add, that pokes through into awareness more and more when you practice this type of meditation. Readers of reviews often demand examples. There are plenty in the free teaser offered by Amazon and on Dr. Epstein's web-site.

A MUST HAVE for all Imagery Practitioners! 27 Aug 2012
By Dehanna Rice-Inkles - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book is easy to access for Professional and Personal use! I pick it up most mornings and flip to find an exercise that speaks to me for the day. The exercises are compiled beautifully interspersed with quotes from Collette herself! You feel her Heart & Soul with these insightful, en"light"ening journey's! These are PEARLS! And one thing more...the book has this soft, waxy cover, I love to touch it and be touched by it! ENJOY!!!

Comprehensive Guide to Mental Health 26 Jun 2012
By Lisa Brickman - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Having read other works by Dr. Epstein (and there are many), I found the "Encyclopedia" a refreshingly specific resource. Because it is organized by concepts, such as "Deep Cleansing from Infancy" I found that I could just open it up to nearly any page and find exactly what suited my mood at the moment. Also, it has a comprehensive guide to "how to" do mental imagery which worked as a wonderful refresher course for me, but could also be easily understood by the first-time seeker. A real keeper, and one to have on any nightstand!

A Wealth of Imagery Wisdom that Heals and Guides 27 July 2012
By Rosalind Hutton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The Encyclopedia of Mental Imagery is truly a gift on the "road of truth." Either opening spontaneously and finding a precise resonating image, or selecting a theme or specific topic, this expansive work points, guides or answers our deepest intentions. I also use this book in my clinical practice with stunning effect. Long suffering physical, emotional or spiritual distresses dissolve often in the twinkling of an eye. Practicing mental imagery imbues us with a kind of self discovery that can only be described as powerful. And that power generates personal freedom, peace and trust. This is a book to live by.

By Michael Mostow - Published on Amazon.com

The Encyclopedia of Mental Imagery is an exquisite collection of wisdom that is eminently accessible. For me, it is the North Star of each day. I open to an imagery each morning and it guides , focuses and lifts the way I live in the world. These tinctures of wisdom promote healing, balance and well being. It is a truly magnificent resource.
