I'm a great fan of Encyclopaedia Britannica and have used the printed encyclopedia's for many years now - I find their content to be trustworthy, in-depth and of high quality. To have all this available on PC CD-ROM at just £8.99 is superb value for money.
As a teacher I regularly refer to the 2005 Standard Edition for research articles as well as the timelines and world atlas and can honestly say that it's invaluable as a reference resource. It’s a very reliable source for researching the history behind current affairs, for example the Israel/Palestine situation.
With all the information easily accessible from 2 discs, you can quickly find information on almost any topic imaginable and use the dictionary and thesaurus to spice up your work.
This CD-ROM is ideal for anybody with access to a PC and an interest in learning new facts!
