Many of the reviews here are from parents. But I thought I'd write from the perspective of an adult who chose this guitar.
Having tinkered with a guitar for 10 years + , I decided that it was time to invest in something new. Being 5ft 2, and with tiny hands, I chose this three quarter classic guitar for nothing else than to feel a bit more comfortable whilst playing.
I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The sound quality produced is on a par with much more expensive models, and the overall look of the guitar is pretty smart.
The value for money is excellent. It's a well-made, good sounding instrument, and it gets five stars from me.

I purchased this for a 7yr old. The guitar arrived well packaged.
It looks and feels good quality. The case is well made too. The Dvd and book that comes with the guitar is ideal and now my child has started lessons at school.
An excellent first guitar. Though it is worth buying one of those electronic tuners that you can purchase through Amazon.

Bought this guitar for my 10 year old daughter who starts a new hobby almost every week!! I wanted a guitar that would last a while if she stayed with it but not too expensive in case she didn't.
The Encore fits the bill perfectly.
It needed re-tuned regularly for the first few days because of the nylon strings but settled down after a week or so. It plays well with a deep,rich sound and has a nice low action.

Came through broken. Also appeared to be very poor build quality.
Don't buy this. If you know anything about guitars, you won't like this one. If you're buying it for a kid that doesn't know any better then it might be okay. Read more

Ideal guitar for beginners
