Choice is a wonderful thing,as is freewill,if you dont want to buy this disc, well dont, nobody is forcing your arm up your back or your cash into Eddie's bank account.
This is British metal at its best,Maiden on form and at the top of their game(its fair to say tho' that Bruce's voice isnt as strong as in the past)
i've docked a star as the sound quality at times is a little cluttered,Shirley's production will not be to everyones taste, indeed i feel all the live discs since 'ROCK IN RIO' are the same.
A live album is essentially a souvenir, a memory of the concert,a representation of a moment in a bands history, wether we like it our not Maiden's popularity in South America is stratospheric, its the new world for heavy rock and Maiden are at the forefront.
In terms of the track listing its fair to point out that 8 appeared on ROCK IN RIO, and 6 apiece appeared on DEATH ON THE ROAD and FLIGHT 666,so its not totally repetitive, the mainstays of the set will always be the likes of 2 Minutes...,Hallowed be thy name etc, every band has a core set list that is reproduced everytime,it dont bother me,it may bother others, thats where you pays yer money and takes your choice.
This is a superb album, well worth purchase, personally i feel it tops all the post BRAVE NEW WORLD live albums,of course it wont beat LIVE AFTER DEATH(what could?),buy and enjoy.
