Choice is a wonderful thing,as is freewill,if you dont want to buy this disc, well dont, nobody is forcing your arm up your back or your cash into Eddie's bank account.

This is British metal at its best,Maiden on form and at the top of their game(its fair to say tho' that Bruce's voice isnt as strong as in the past)

i've docked a star as the sound quality at times is a little cluttered,Shirley's production will not be to everyones taste, indeed i feel all the live discs since 'ROCK IN RIO' are the same.

A live album is essentially a souvenir, a memory of the concert,a representation of a moment in a bands history, wether we like it our not Maiden's popularity in South America is stratospheric, its the new world for heavy rock and Maiden are at the forefront.

In terms of the track listing its fair to point out that 8 appeared on ROCK IN RIO, and 6 apiece appeared on DEATH ON THE ROAD and FLIGHT 666,so its not totally repetitive, the mainstays of the set will always be the likes of 2 Minutes...,Hallowed be thy name etc, every band has a core set list that is reproduced everytime,it dont bother me,it may bother others, thats where you pays yer money and takes your choice.

This is a superb album, well worth purchase, personally i feel it tops all the post BRAVE NEW WORLD live albums,of course it wont beat LIVE AFTER DEATH(what could?),buy and enjoy.

Where the Rock In Rio CD has a nice thick sound, this album sounds a bit mid-range and cluttered and in some places Steve's bass is not its usual clanky self. The opening riff in the Wicker Man sounds a bit strange too. These minor quibbles aside, this is still a great live album featuring the complete Final Frontier tour setlist. Eldorado sounds tremendous as do the other new album live tracks. I've still to sit down and watch the DVD so that will be for another review.

I agree with others that it's hard to top the Live After Death performance but at least these newer live albums provide the full gig. Given the timing constraints of vinyl, the remastered Live After Death CD in 1998 attempted to give an insight into a standard set list from the World Slavery Tour by offering a second disc of material. This would have been great if it had been produced properly - there is a guitar track missing throughout the extra the songs (possibly Adrian's)that makes the songs unlistenable, unless of course you want to grab your guitar and use as a 'play along with Maiden':>)

Roll on the Maiden England 2012/13 Tour and let's hope it comes to UK arenas and not just one stop-off in a muddy field.

A lot of people might be annoyed with not that recent Maiden's policy of releasing live album after each studio album and world tour.
However, golden rule says if you don't want it do not buy it.

As for the album itself I really enjoy it. Apart from classics which every Maidenian have heard thousand of times in every possible version I was extremely courious how the new songs will be catched on live recording.
And I am not dissapointed. As a Maiden maniac since 1991 I am very impressed with this piece. New songs sounds very well, in my personal opinion slightly better than their studio versions. Interaction of Chillean fans is also amazing and Maiden is well known for their strong bond with masses attending their shows. And this can be heard on this recording.

I will, as I do it usually, not describe each song as these should be consumed on a personal basis. I will just say this - if you love Iron Maiden buy this album!

Up the Irons!!!

Cheers!
