A treasure house if ever there was one!

Author Baruch Solomon turns a chore into a treat - with a growing pot of gold at the end of it!

If you think that gardening is only about bending over to pick out unwanted chlorophyll and humping a heavy roller over the daisies, think again.

The author stresses that to get regular clients who happily anticipate your working visit is all about cultivating the right human relationships. Those fortunate enough to grow orchids and petunias (or even lettuce and asparagus) in their back gardens will not just engage you because of your skills (which he takes you through with great clarity and humor), but because they trust you and because they like you. And Baruch Solomon's humorous insights show you how to do just that!

There is more to gardening than distinguishing the delicate tomato plants from the weeds. His pages give invaluable coaching and tips on all main aspects of successful gardening - with emphasis on the questions any beginner is 'afraid to ask because he is expected to know'. He carries his wide experience and detailed knowledge lightly, and can be followed gleefully by even those who can barely distinguish a turnip from a toadstool.

The book does not claim that such outdoor work is effortless, or even easy. Though the book charms you through the learning curve, it is quite realistic that you deserve every pound you earn. But the rewards are even greater.

Lulu Publishers are very fortunate to have engaged a writer whose extremely clear and fun presentation of gardening is underlain with a powerful and upbeat attitude to life. It is much hoped that Lulu will expand this pioneer book of 'How to earn a living as...' into a series.

I bought this book after reading Paul Power "Start And Run A Gardening Business" and was so disappointed.
In fairness to Baruch, the author, I am aiming at starting up a more diverse, gardening business and not just a gardening round.
For me more tips on Gardening business start up strategies and a lot less on the difference between flowers and weeds would have been more helpful. But maybe I am being unfair even comparing the two they are chalk and cheese.

Actually didn't think much to this book - didn't go into enough detail about what to charge, business plans etc, it was a little shallow. I was disappointed.
