Very basic but solid racing game - plays like something from the era of the 1st Sega Rally game - decent graphics, solid but basic racing handling. The option to use the d-pad instead of tilting to steer (very welcome if, like me, you're not a fan of tilt-steering on the Wii).
Nothing very exciting happens, no high-speed jumps, power-ups, weapons, death-defying stunt tracks - just straighforward old-fashioned racing. It all happens at a realistic speed, so it can feel a bit tame compared to some of the insanely high-speed racers we're used to nowadays, but I quite like it. After the frantic nature of something like Mario Kart, it's quite refreshing to play a racing game where winning depends purely on good driving, cornerning, braking etc.
It can feel a bit sedate, but at budget price it's not a bad little game, and certainly better than most of the other cheap 3rd party racing games on the Wii (vastly better than anything from the Popcorn Arcade label for example).
