5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down! 21 Nov 2011
Format:Paperback
These fictional books are based on the life of Julius Caesar. I first started reading The Gates of Rome as part of a book club I belong to (not a high-brow one I can assure you!) and had to go on and read the other 3 books straight after as I loved it so much. It's a great insight into his early life and how he became the ruler of Rome, carrying on to his eventual death. I found it a great read and very informative as I have to confess I didn't know a huge amount about Julius Caesar before reading these.
