Even the fantasy stories and poems portray many commonplace events or stretch the imagination in ways that anyone could dream about. Mike's objective is to remove the pretentiousness prevalent in so much poetry and present an enjoyable read that reflects the extremes of everyday life, that you will keep picking up and reading anew. He hopes his objective has been realised.

I looked at this book through a sceptics eyes, not having read any of Mikes work before, but once inside the cover I was greatly surprised. I felt he captured the total feeling, for his love of his "Goddess", also talking about the begining of their love affair. This must be the feeling that goes with every affair, it did with mine. He didnt need to spell it out. The emotion he had at that time touched my inner soul and bought back memories. Also the openess of his depresive staight was eye opening and an insight to that side of him. He does make you think!
