This is not the first book I read about conversations with Dalai Lama, I have always enjoyed his broad points of view and joyful and at the same time deep sense of life. In this book again we can see how he fits easily on the framework of modern psychology, guided, or better, inspired, by Paul Ekman. The book is a series of conversations, recorded as they were in situ, spontaneous and fresh, dinamic, live, about how to deal with our emotions and mood. It is particularly interesting the first pages when they try to distinguish between mood and emotions and their relation, very ilustrative.
I am a doctor in Social Psychology myself and I would recommend this book to anyone, both professionals and lay people, to clarify how to recognize and control, if possible, our emotions.
