My only gripe is that I thought it was a tad overlong, as I can only laugh so much at Mark Charnock's exaggerated facial expressions when there are lots of them in succession.
But having said that, he still makes me laugh. But at least twenty minutes cut off the run time would have been better, though.
Marlon & Paddy work well as a comedy double act.
The other Emmerdale characters chosen to appear in this mini movie with them also work well - but I particularly enjoyed watching the 'guest actors' in this.
I have never seen any of them in anything else before, but I thought they were all very, very funny and complemented the two stars well.
I particularly liked Bobby Dazzler [the stripper,] the club bouncer, the dyslexic tattoo artist, the pizza delivery guy and the man who manages the nightclub. Good casting for all of these! The out takes of the nightclub owners scene with the Bouncer were very funny.
The stripper and the bouncer aren't great actors, but they had me in stitches because they were so lovable and the guy who played the stripper was a very good sport - he must have been freezing for most of his scenes.
The funniest [by far] moments for me were -
1)Paddy & Marlon wearing velcro hats and throwing velcro balls at each other's heads. Such a simple idea but, so, so funny. Cracked me up.
2)Paddy in the snorkel mask and wig. And the out takes of these two scenes are even funnier.
and other very funny moments in no particular order...........
3)Marlon's white legs when he was running in the wet suit.
4)Paddy's outfit next morning when they were looking for Leo. Those trousers!!!!
5)The stripper riding on the back of the golf cart through the streets of Leeds.
6) Marlon and Paddy [and Pearl] dancing.
7) the whereabouts of the gorilla.
8) Paddy, Rhona and Marlon fighting to get out of the cottage door.
I laughed out loud often at this DVD and at £11.99 from Amazon, it's a great tonic for a very reasonable price.
So thanks to all those involved in making it.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.
