I note a number of cautionary tales on this page about the cost and longevity of these extra rollers for the Emjoi Micro-Pedi. I agree they aren't cheap but I think you can extend the life of them by a strict maintenance regime. Firstly, after each use, you should brush the roller down with either the cleaning brush supplied with the machine, or, perhaps, something a bit coarser. Secondly, from time to time, you can gently rinse off the roller taking extreme care not to saturate it and then dry it.

My impression is that the lifespan of the rollers is reduced more by the surface getting clogged with dead skin from your feet rather than losing its inherent abrasive qualities. I also think that the difference between the (pink) "coarse" rollers and these (blue) "extra coarse" variants is so small I'd just buy the blue ones as they are marginally more abrasive, and, arguably that will help prolong their useful life.

Despite the cost of these rollers they're still much cheaper than getting a chiropodist to do the same job! Recommended.

The micro pedi machine is brilliant, it works perfectly, however the rollers run out very quickly and at this price it's just not worth it. SOLUTION buy a sheet of 120 grit sandpaper and a roll of double sided sticky tape, appx £2. Peel off the blue or pink abrasive on the micro pedi rollers (they can actually be levered apart to make it easier), you'll find there are two pieces but you will replace with one long piece. Cut a rectangle of sandpaper long enough to hook into the gap between the two sides of the roller and then to roll all the way round to meet the other end. It must be wide enough to fit between the edges. Then cut 3 pieces of double sided tape, stick on your sandpaper rectangle, remove the second side of the tape and your ready.

Turn on your pedi and check which way the roller rotates, you need to ensure your new rectangle is hooked into the slot and the loose end rotates smoothly without catching, its very simple and there are only two options. Hook one end of your rectangle into the slot then smooth the rest round the roller, bingo it's done. After you have done a couple it takes about a minute, cost is less than 5p max per roller, quicker, cheaper, simpler, more choice as you can choose the grit on the paper.

Again, the machine is GREAT it works brilliantly and it's very cost effective if you make your own refills.

Happy sanding.

Very quick delivery. Brilliant gadget works extremely well and easy to use even for me and I am disabled. Gently removes any sign of hard skin. Would recommend.

The coarse roller supplied with the initial purchase of the machine has far outlasted these replacements.
I have been happy with the machine but these replacement rollers are not up to the job. They have very quickly worn down which is disappointing. In future I think I will try to find an alternative make of roller one that is up to the job.

If your pondering pink or blue rollers then the blue is the one I'd recommend although the unit comes with one of each, it's more efficient than the pink roller and it dispatches hard skin and leaves your feet feeling smooth

I have used all three of the Emjo pedi machines and they are brilliant.

So if you want to continue using the machines and to maintain your feet you really need to get these replacement rollers.

However you can do yourself a favour by doing the following before you use them.

Wash your feet before using.
This sounds silly but simply put you get rid of a whole lot of stuff before you apply the rollers.
Water and soap are cheaper than the rollers.
Otherwise you are only wearing down the rollers taking away stuff that could easily be removed for free,
Let the rollers do the work!
Simply put don't apply too much pressure. The top layer is the only bit thats acted upon.
You are wasting power and your time.
Clean the machine.
I use an old toothbrush to really get the rollers clean again.
remember it's the skin dust you are removing.

DO this and your rollers should last twice as long thus saving you money.

I thought this was a little pricey but it works great. Now I've used it I think it worth every penny because it is not expensive when compared to the price of repeated pedicures, or all the money I have spent on heel balm etc. Within a few days the skin on my heels and balls of my feet would rival my 5 year olds. Smooth, no cracks and easy to use. It takes 2 AA batteries, and the whole family have pristine feet wearing out that battery set. The cartridge is still rough, and we haven't used the pink one (I don't get the point of the pink).

I will be ordering more blue cartridges. Great product.

after much deliberation i bought the micro pedi tool .ITS FANTASTIC i am a middle age male with not too nice feet {only since my last spinal operation i have not been able to tend to my feet and it was stressing me } so i though lets try it ..and it WORKS !!! i got a good deal on the machine but the rollers are too expensive they should be around 5 pound for 3 .and they should make a super rough version .my main grumble with the machine is it goes through AA batteries very fast .i suggest high output rechargeable.get the 3000ma or the 2700ma .rechargeable batteries if you intend to use the micro pedi often .

I am so pleased that I bought this - it is a little expensive but it really works! I found that I needed the blue rollers to do the job properly and I have to use it every few days to keep up the result. My feet are now much smoother.

I purchased these spare rollers at the same time as a new Micro-Pedi.
I had suffered from a very painful corn on a little toe - it meant I had to be careful which shoes I wore and hurt all the time. I had tried corn plasters, pads etc for weeks to no avail.
I read reviews of this and decided that, if it worked, it was better value than paying for chiropodists (sorry chiropodists). The day it arrived I cautiously ground away the hard skin and the toe immediately felt a bit better. The next day I was a little bolder and used the Micro-Pedi (blue roller) rather more confidently until there was no hard skin left. Complete cure! It took another day or two for the tenderness in the toe to subside after which it was as good as new. Fantastic!
I also volunteered to do some work with it on my wife's feet - she is amazed to have her lovely soft feet back - all the dry and hard skin is gone.
It is easy to use and easy to clean. I cannot recommend it enough.
