`Eminem - In My Skin' is, in a word, fantastic. It's different from most of the books published on the subject of Eminem mainly because it's a graphic novel - yup, a comic. But it's not what you think. It's nothing like some sort of Beano or Beyblade kid's read as most comics are. As the front cover marking suggests, parental advice is compulsory - this is no child read by any measure. It is authored by Barnaby Legg and Jim McCarthy and illustrated by legendary `Flameboy' - that in itself should be sufficient proof that this book is worth reading, and trust me: it is.
If you're remotely a fan of the hardcore legend that is Slim Shady, I'd highly recommend buying this book. Well no, I'd actually go as far as to say it's a compulsory purchase - if you don't buy this, as far as I'm concerned, you're a fool. A well deserved 5-star is definitely in order. *****

Worth a look....,

Having read the brilliant 'Godspeed: The Kurt Cobain graphic', and given it a five star rating, I was expecting more of the same from McCarthy/Legg and Flameboy.
I was slightly disappointed with 'In My Skin': The writing quality was not quite on a par with Godspeed, and as I believe Flameboy did not produce all the artwork for this graphic, there are one or two disappointing pages. That said, there are also some exceptional pages and overall the book is worth buying just for those. I look forward to the next project, Tupac, and for a return to the quality writing and art that made Godspeed so unique.

dissapointing,

Having bought Godspeed & loved it I was looking forward to reading this follow up graphic novel by the same authors.Although I must point out that some of the artwork is excellent, overall I found it a dissapointment. The script is not a patch on Godspeed.There doesn't appear to be a proper story line & the script is juvenile at best. Only half of the book is drawn by flameboy (another dissapointment)- why? Some of those pages ARE brilliant though, particularly the Dr.Dre & Eminem sequence & I'll keep the book for that alone.
