This ceramic pizza stone makes brick-oven style pizzas and can also be used on barbeque grills for grilling meats, poultry, fish, and vegetables or in the oven for baking breads, cookies, rolls, biscuits, and other baked goods. The pizza stone is made of all natural materials, heats in 15 minutes in the oven, and can withstand high oven temperatures. The glaze is micro-crazed contributing to crispy well-baked crusts, just like a pizza oven. When used on a grill, the pizza stone turns the grill into an outdoor pizza oven. You can cut directly on the glazed pizza stone without damaging or scratching the surface.
When cooking, ceramic diffuses the heat slowly and evenly. This ceramic pizza stone can be used in both conventional and convection ovens and can also be used under the broiler, as well as on gas, charcoal, or natural wood grills.

Bought this as recently had a new oven and always wanted to improve the texture of pizzas that I bought or made. Impressive as a pizza stone and also when baking bread. Highly recommended.
Having previously bought a regular ceramic stone, i soon found out i needed a replacement. The old one stained very quickly, would create a lot of smoke when heating and was very difficult to clean. All these problems are now gone with EH pizza stone. Well done.

This is an extremely well-made, high-quality pizza stone that's washable! The handles make it easy to lift in and out of a hot oven, and the glazed exterior makes clean-up a breeze. I have mainly used this stone for baking artisan breads (my husband and I love Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day) and the cornmeal or flour used to help the dough slide onto the stone simply brushes off after the bread is done baking. I ordered the Olive green color, and besides being one of my most prized kitchen staples, it's beautiful! If you're looking for a high-quality baking stone--look no further.

I bought Emile Henry's tajeen a few years ago and absolutely love it! $49.00 was steep but without tax or
shipping Amazon's offer was too good to pass up.
This pizza (bread) stone is fantastic. It's beautiful and unlike other stones that doesn't stain and can be washed either by hand or in the dishwasher without having the stone "bleed" a soap taste into whatever you bake next and the gorgeous ceramic finish doesn't stain and is perfect for serving.
You can use it on all types of stove tops: gas, electric, halogen as well as induction stove tops AND all
types of ovens: traditional, convection and microwave safe. You can even use it on gas, charcoal and wood grills!
It keeps hot longer, has great even heat distribution and can be heated to extremely high temperatures (up to
700F degree for searing). The glaze is micro-crazed just like a pizza oven so crusts come out crispy and well baked.
It will turn your grill into an outdoor pizza oven...FABULOUS! It is much less liable to crack into two
pieces after you've used it a dozen times like cheaper stones...and no bulky metal cradles or juggling clumsy stones this super ceramic stone has built-in ceramic handles! Perfect for serving, pizza, bread, you can cut on the surface without worrying about scratching it and finally heat it and use it as a warmed serving tray.
On the day I received it I made a white pizza of Gorgonzola cheese, pears, crispy walnuts and turkey for a few
friends. The crust was perfectly crispy on the bottom (my former stones wouldn't have been able to handle keeping the crust as crisp with this recipe). I cut and served the pizza on the same stone right from the oven...delicious and it stayed hot for second servings. I had been looking for a pizza stone for a while before discovering this one. Stones in the same price range seemed to have frequent breakage issues. I don't have to transfer pizza to another surface after baking to cut it. And I had never seen one you could use on the grill! Anyway, I love this pizza stone. I ordered the black, and have used it once for pizza, and once just as a warm surface for serving hot food on the table. It is attractive enough to work as a serving platter. It is not to heavy to carry, and the handles are very functional. I feel like I can use it for much more than just pizza or bread. A great buy.
