With its unique features, one has great versatility being able to use it on a naked flame to fry off food whilst also going directly into the oven. Along with having a very high thermo shock resistance, this product can be taken straight from the freezer or fridge and placed directly in the oven or on the flame. This is one of the best cooking items I've ever used. It really can be used on the hob and in the oven, the food cooked in it is tasty and tender. I've also used it to stir-fry and to pot-roast with great success, so no need for a wok or a pot-roast dish. And cleaning it is dead easy - first time I used it I left it to soak while we ate, thinking that I be able to give it a bit of a wash before I put in the dishwasher. But there was no need to put it in the dishwasher, all I had to do was wipe it over! It looks smart on the table and feels sturdy to handle without being too heavy. All in all, I'd recommend it as a versatile, easy-care dish for a variety of cooking styles and presentation of food.

This tagine works extremely well. I use it on top of the hob with no problems. The 32cm tagine easily holds, for example, 6 chicken quarters, side by side. It's stylish and looks great when placed in the middle of the dining table. Love the aubergine colour too.

Bought this with reticence due to the price, haven't looked back! This is a great tagine as you don't require a heat diffuser. Bought a recipe book on the reviews of amazon users, can reccommend 'TAGINE spicy stews from Morocco' by Ghillie Basan. I've been working my through it, it gives recipes for Ghee and preserved lemons amounst other things which is handy to get you started. It is real comfort food and a winner for dinner parties!

Shame it was all broken!
Unfortunately this item arrived smashed in several pieces and had to be sent back. Real shame as it was a present for someone. Don't think I'll buy fragile items again via post.

Damaged
We were disappointed to see a scratch on the lid but as it was too much hassle we did not return it. It is not the first time that I have had a "seconds" product sent to me
