i remember seeing "emergency call" on t.v back in the late 1990s and was impressed by the film.
now having the chance to own this on dvd, i soon discovered that i enjoy this tense drama just as much.
the storyline of a small girl needing a blood transfusion but possessing a rare blood type, helps to build the tension as the hospital and the police collaborate in a chase across london to find someone who has the same blood group.
there are plenty of familiar faces to be spotted along the way: sid james before his "carry on" fame, jack warner(once again cast as a police officer), anthony steel, the real life boxer freddie mills and many others.
