I was a new owner of an embroidery machine and was completely lost as to what I needed. This book explains what's on the market and then you decide if you need it. It step by step tells you what to use for different fabrics and doesn't seem to be 'product' based it covers all brands and types of stuff you can use. It also opens up other aspects of using your Embroidery machine, like Appliques, fringing, cutwork and even some even braver stuff that I'll get to sometime!
It may be pricey, it was the only one around when I bought it in july, I haven't had a look at any other books, I'd class it as My bible, and haven't felt the need for anything more and as it was the first the ones that have followed probably read this one first Well worth the money (nayy,btw)

This is the book that I have been waiting for, a must for owners of embroidery machines. It covers every aspect of hooped machine embroidery including the tit bits we need to know. It can only be described as the Machine Embroiderers Bible.

This book takes you step by step through the whole process.
there is lots of information about each machine embroidery product, and a great address list at the back.
A big plus are the free CD designs, and the project ideas of how to use them.
Well worth buying, especially if you are beggining this complex craft!
