Review

Susan Jeffers has done it again! EMBRACING UNCERTAINTY is a wonderful book with a huge payoff...peace of mind about the future. It is an entertaining read filled with invaluable insights and unique exercises you can take with you on your exciting Journey through life. (Jack Canfield, Co-Author of the #1 New York Times)

Now more than ever, Susan Jeffers' wisdom feels like a precious gift. Her counsel is profound and meaningful in such challenging times. (Marianne Williamson)

In Embracing Uncertainty, Jeffers describes, with brilliant clarity, how to deal with ambiguity in life. The exercises in this book helped me learn how to reach within myself and find certainty. Like Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, I'll be quoting this classic over and over again. (Mona Lisa Schulz, MD, PhD, author of Awakening Int)

Original, courageous and brilliant! Jeffers alters the mind without drugs, freeing it to free us to become ourselves.

Susan Jeffer's books are always fun to read, and she has done it again with Embracing Uncertainty.

She leads the reader through the art of enjoying life in her own unique style!

(Louise L. Hay, Author of You Can Heal Your Life an)

This is the first Susan Jeffers book I've read and I highly recommend it. It really has helped to chnage my outlook on life for the better. Instead of wishing things were different or hoping that things will go the way you want them to, Jeffers suggests you detach yourself from your expectations and disappointments and just trust that whatever is happening is all ultimately for the best. This book is well written with a warmth and sense of fun which even had me laughing to myself on the bus. (The guy sitting next to me was having a good read over my shoulder, too!)
The only reason i don't give it 5 stars is because the book leaves you wanting just that bit more information - I guess i'll have to read some of her other books..!

Susan Jeffers has written another extremely useful book expanding on some of the ideas to be found in Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway and some brand new areas as well. The book is extremely helpful with lots of exercises which I am still working through but the ones I have used were brilliant. A sense of calm and peace can be achieved by reading this book and doing the exercises but as always Susan reminds us to not take ourselves too seriously and to have fun!

I have read a few of Susan Jeffers books now and to date I feel this is the best. The book is easy to read and follow. It provides numerous excercises that you can complete in your own time. If you take up some of the recommendations from the book I believe you will look on life in a more positive and less stressful way. I have found the book to be a great help but as she says we all need reminders, so I will be re-reading the book at intervals. I wonder if anyone else will benefit from the book as much as I do ? Anyway enjoy

I bought this book when I was facing a lot of changes in my life. I did not know which way to turn. Reading this book was a relief. The exercises helped me relax and not worry so much about controlling the outcome of every event in my life. The book helped me see uncertainty as an exciting journey, rather than something to be feared. A great read and something that gets better with each reading.

I bought this book because at times I feel the need for a spiritual read. This was one of those times. This is a very practical book which has plenty of visualisation exercises which I am pleased to say I am incorporating into my life. It's not your typical spiritual book but it does help to put things in a different perspective. I found that I was constanly thinking negative things about my life. After reading this book I can say I am changing, for the better, and will continue to use this book as a reference point. It's an uplifting book written in a very positive way. A definite for your bookshelves.

This is my favourite Susan Jeffers' book by far. I have read most of her books and love them all but this particular one spoke to me more than others did. I absolutely love the exercises that she presents in this book and they really do work! It has certainly improved my thinking and attitude to life. I am more positive and ready to move forward with my life with more confidence and faith. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would love to change their life for the better.

I've bought books on Amazon for years but this is my first review. I can say without a doubt that this book helped me changed my life. It helped me to analyse what was holding me back - fear and uncertainty - and how to overcome it. There's no silver bullet and no easy answers, but if you read and reread this book, you will find plenty in it to help you face your fears and uncertainties. That said, only you can can change your life and it isn't easy for sure. After reading this book, a light bulb went off and I started planning my new life. It took me two years but I did it - quit my job and ventured into the unknown, fortunately with a supportive husband. The book helped me change my perspective on so many things in life and along with other books, calmed me down a lot. So even if you're not planning to make huge changes in your life, it's still well worth reading. It's a very positive book that doesn't promise the world, but really delivered for me. I also recommended it to a couple of friends - one in her 30s - and it's helped them too.
What I really liked about this book, and Susan Jeffers' other ones - End the Struggle and Dance With Life, Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway (which I've also read and give you slightly different perspectives and focus) - is that they don't preach at you, don't judge you and aren't religious or spiritual. Instead they are practical and full of helpful tips and exercises and useful insights from Jeffers' own life. I also read some of the books she refers to - such as Viktor Frankl's harrowing Man's Search for Meaning - which I also benefited from. Sadly Susan Jeffers passed away a few years ago but she's left a tremendous legacy.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know, thanks to this book, that I can cope with whatever life throws at me.
