I love this book! 24 May 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book is great! The main part consists of 14 detailed strategies which tell you how to change your thinking, change your approach to dealing with anxiety, and be easier on yourself. It also contains a section with self-talk and strategies to use in a number of specific anxiety situations, like the mall and flying. It really helped me to reduce my anxiety and take it easy!

This book is great. It gave me a better understanding of what anxiety is and what I can do to live with it and not control it. I now realize that I'm not the only one whose felt this way before and anxiety is not a bad word, but just another bump in the road.It will take time, but I will get better.

Embracing the Fear 27 Mar 2010

This book is less intense than some and does not involve as much diary keeping as others.

Relies on combatting every negative thought with a positive one.

Although will not suit everyone it is definately worth a try.

the onset of intense anxiety or panic, our first reaction is to try to stay in control. It will help if we practice letting go; the less we attempt to stay in control, the more in control we will feel. "e;

The more unwilling we are to experience certain thoughts and feelings, the more were troubled by them. We try hard to control them or get rid of them. But all this effort is exactly what gets us into trouble, since the need to control and get rid of them is the best recipe for continued aggravation and distress. "e;
