I have been using this laptop for a few days now and I love it. Then again, I have never had a laptop before so maybe I'm just easily impressed.
I find Windows 7 highly easy to use and it has some fantastic features. My high point so far has been with Windows Media Center, which allows you to burn your dvds, etc, and, if you have a TV tuner, watch TV on your laptop.
The webcam is specially optimized to work in low light environments, which means no more turning the lights right up for you IM conversations.
Everything is very simple to use and you more or less have the whole thing set up within a few minutes. The wireless internet connection is amazing, giving me speeds I'd never had before on my old PC.
I suppose the only down point is that the battery life only boasts a maximum of 2.5 hours, although there are features to help save power, before you have to put it on charge.
Other than that, though, I definitely got my money's worth and I highly recommend this laptop.

I bought this machine in September 2010. At first it was great- reliable, fast. Only downside was all the pop-ups. All I have used it for is the internet, and to write up essays and reports.
I still have over 3/4 of my memory free, and yet the computer has slowed to a crawl. It now takes nearly 20 minutes just to turn on, and another 20 to load the internet (and a further 10-15 mins everytime you open a new page).
I've had it looked at- there are no viruses and loads of free memory. The technician couldn't find anything wrong with it, or any reason for it slowing down. He (and three others confirmed) said that it's just the way the comp is. My friend bought it three weeks after I did and hers is now the same...we bought them from different suppliers, in different countries.
Very unhappy. Now I'm looking at new laptops, and I'm never going to get an Acer again.

I bought my computer just over a month ago it arrived very quickly and i love it!!!!!!!!it was easy to set up, I use it everyday and never had any trouble with it at all, its just great*****
