This biographical documentary traces the life of Elvis Presley, from his humble beginnings as a simple country boy to his worldwide success as the King of Rock 'n' Roll. It follows him through the years of his decline - his popularity waning when groups like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones redefined pop music in the early 1960s - all the way up to his triumphant return, when he carved out a new career for himself as the dominant figure on the Las Vegas cabaret scene.

if you are looking for a trawl through elvis' career with slick footage of concerts and films - dont buy this. aging bit players in his life are interviewed against a backdrop of stills that we've all seen before. this is a terrible, boring pic and both the title and the sleeve photo are totally misleading. a frustrating 'don't buy'

I quite liked this DVD. It was a nice look back at Elvis from some of the people who knew him, sharing their experiences with the man. I found it to be a very human look back at his life, a bit like old friends reminiscing. It's not something I've personally seen before.
