5.0 out of 5 stars Human Waste never sounded better. 8 Mar 2002
Format:Audio CD
This is amazing. It's a devistating that this band split. Aimee Echo sounds like Gwen Stefani on helium, thats not a bad thing. The lyrics are great, the riffs are better, the album awesome.
This is better than all the nu-metal bands of today. BUY IT!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Aimee Echo rocks 31 May 2002

Format:Audio CD
This album is brilliant....mixing Aimee's gentle squeaky voice with her load roars of emotion is is the perfect match. The riffs are superb and it produces a lot of pent up aggression...a must have.

By David
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I first heard Human Waste Project on a Karang CD many moons ago and fell inlove with Aimee Echo's voice and the fast paced track "Dog".. she plays in other bands but none match this one.

Oh man, this album is just so great and amazingly just was somehow totally ignored when it came out. It did get a slight cult following, but just never totally exploded into the mainstream like it should have. It came from the late Ninties 'Nu-metal' scene around L.A. in America, the band playing and touring with other similar bands of the time such as Korn, Papa Roach, Tura Satana, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chamber. I saw them support Coal Chamber and remeber agreeing with the singer that I definately would go buy the album when it came out. The music stood out from the other Nu metal bands so much, as it was just more spacy, far out, a little psychedelic but stil lheavy as hell, down tuned grungey and new like Korn and the others. Her vocals are amazing, truly bizarre and beautiful- like Cindi Lauper and Perry Farrell meets Jon from Korn. Big huge trippy nu metal heaviness. Stunning album.

P.S.- She now sings with a band called The Start, who are more electro retro rock, but very good also.
