In an extraordinary series of interviews with almost all the key players in the negotiations between Israelis, Palestinians, the US, Arab states and other international players, the makers of this programme have managed to create a seemless and coherent story that delves wel below the surface By juxtaposing some very frank reminiscences of participants ranging from from Bill Clinton and his team to Ehud Barak and his team, a host of Palestinian negotiators and political figures, and a range of key Arab personalities involved in the wider Israeli-Arab negotiations, with footage and stills from the evolving events and sober narration, a vivid and comprehensive picture is created that is worth more than a lot of written analysis. In my own university I have used it as a part both of a course on Middle East Politics, and one on Understanding Peace Processes.
