A Delicious Collection of Ghost Stories

If you like over the top, rip roaring ghost stories, you have come to the right book. If these stories are completely true, you would not want to live in early 20th century Britain. The stories are very scary and have little or no sexual situations or "dirty" words. The stories are short, mostly ten pages or less, and written in an old fashioned style.
O'Donnell's book, Great Ghost Stories, is an omnibus edition containing this book as well as The Screaming Sculls and Other Ghosts. This information might help you from accidently buying a duplicate (I hate it when that happens!).
The stories are said to be real, but the reader should take them with several grains of salt. These delicious, well seasoned stories should be read for enjoyment.

If you are fascinated by the idea of ghosts and spirits, this and pretty much any of Elliot O'Donnell's works are required reading. Rather than dry accounts of scientific readings on complicated instruments, O'Donnell combines great story telling with witness' accounts of actual phenomena in the way that it grabbed our imaginations in the first place.

O'Donnell has an uncanny ability to scare the hell out of you. This volume deals with banshees, disembodied heads, haunted countryside, and other shiver-inducing topics. Some view his style as "old-fashioned"; I view it as telling ghost stories as they should be told. I'm always delighted to get my hands on a book of his, since he never disappoints!
