I just simply have to say that the glorious illustrations by Elena Gomez leap off the page with a vibrancy and beauty I've never before witnessed in childrens books. I myself am an illustrator who is dumbstruck by the shere passion that Elena posseses. Keep going Elena, you are an inspiration to us all.

I always read this book with my mummy and my daddy because I like the boats and I love Elliot the cat.The best bit is where Elliot falls into the sea after a big wave hits his boat.

This book was both beautiful to look at and a great story....my neice, who is 2 years of age absolutely loves this book and insists on calling our cat elliot now....even tho he looks nothing like elliot in the book.
the illustration truly encapsulates the feeling of the story and makes you feel like you are at sea with poor elliot and swirling around in the waves alongside him.
The story is engaging and exciting for the target age group and is a great example of a simple idea coming to life.
Being an Illustrator myself it is a pleasure to see work that conveys feeling and originality, with a hint of tradition. I will be looking out for future publications.

Thoroughly enjoyed by my kids & they loved the illustrations
