The concept of this book was interesting and promised a lot - the second world war didn't happen. A massive subject to tackle and I'm sure more could have been made of it. A work of fiction using facts in the style of the Da Vinci Code. I'm not sure all the facts were historically correct but it was a good read non the less.
It is disappointing to find that this book is now out of print.

I read this book years ago when it was first published in paperback. I found it to be thought provoking in presenting the moral and personal dilemmas involved in the ideal of changing history.

i love this book so much i named my youngest daughter eliander. i have 2 copies in hardcover, bought this to give to a friend. it is better than i remember, a great example of alternative history.
