Screen "Goddess" Elizabeth Taylor is not only known for her great acting career, her beauty, her colourful personal life and her HIV work but as well for the impressive jewellery collection: hers is the 33 carat Krupp Diamond ring, the La Peregrina pearl, an antique diamond tiara, the Taj Mahal heart shaped yellow diamond necklace, the Duchess of Windsor diamond brooch and the emeralds of a Grand Duchess of Russia and so on and so on. In her book you find actual-size photos and personal photos of Dame Elizabeth wearing them. It is glamorous book which will appeal to all interested in jewellery and in this great actress and personality. I enjoyed it very much.

A large coffee table book, it delivers everything you'd expect from Elizabeth Taylor with pages packed with glamour! There are photographs on nearly every page and most items of jewellery are accompanied by a short story of how Ms Taylor acquired them. For gemlovers, it's a pure delight wandering through the book, admiring some of the world's finest gemstones! It's in no way a book that will tax the mind or give deep insight into gemology but it's a fun, delightful, beautiful and most of all, enjoyable book.

Wow, what an absolute gem of a book. It offers a truely beautiful insight into the world of 24ct glamour, passion and total excess. The photography is mesmerizing and as Ms Taylor takes you through both her collection and indeed her life, she presents a fascinating glimpse of a true Hollywood lifestyle. The fact that she adores and treasures her many priceless pieces comes across so clearly. Who else would wear a Cartier ruby and diamond suite whilst playing with the kids under the lawn sprinkler!
For someone wanting to lose themselves on a glum, grey, rainy afternoon, this is the book to curl up with. Its warm, witty and Ms Taylors writing sparkles almost as much as her many, many fine jewels.
Indulge and Enjoy!

I was delighted with this book, although found it very expensive. The condition it arrived in was as 'brand new'. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it and it is now on the guest bedside cabinet for visitors. I have had one visitor since the arrival of the book who also really enjoyed leafing through the book. The pictures of the jewellery are great and Miss Taylors explains the history of each peice. As the whole collection will be up for auction later this year, it will be interesting to see how the collection will be broken up. There are further books available at Amazon on other jewellery collectons (at much cheaper prices)which I am now considering buying. however I like to think this book will become a classic that may even go up in value.

This is a vivid presentation of some of the chief items in an enormous private collection of jewelry, full of personal details of a colourful life. Most items are contemporary but a few are older, art déco, 19th century and an Indian heart-shaped diamond engraved with the date for 1627. The photos of all the jewels are splendid but in my opinion there is far too much space devoted to indifferent newspaper and magazines photos of Elizabeth Taylor.
This is actually true also of the much more informative catalogues from the Christie's auction of her jewels in December 2011.
Thus, a very fine presentation that would have benefited from some stricter editing.

Fascinating book with lovely photos of beautiful jewellery at mind boggling prices and of course beautiful Elizabeth Taylor.
I have always loved jewellery and have coveted this book for the last few years - at last I own it!
Great coffee table book with interesting information about the stunning pieces that were in her collection.
