Elizabeth Revill was educated at Bartley Green Girls' Grammar School, Birmingham before going on to study English, Speech and Drama. Elizabeth won the coveted Carlton Hobbs Award from the BBC while training for the stage at The Birmingham School of Speech and Drama and is a former member of the BBC Repertory Company. Her acclaimed previous novel Killing me Softly caused a sensation when it was released in 1996, dealing as it did with the incestuous relationship between a mother and son and it's shattering effect when a serial killer menaces the city of Birmingham. The author now resides with her husband Andrew, on a farm in North Devon.
