3.0 out of 5 stars An interesting perspective, 28 Jan 2008
Anka Muhlstein's book does not shed much new light on Elizabeth and Mary Queen of Scots as people but it does raise the interesting question of the problems of marriage for female rulers in the sixteenth century. It is perhaps ironic that Amazon have mistakenly categorized it under "Mary 1", thus perpetuating the general confusion that Mary Stuart and Mary Tudor are the same person! Muhlstein's book is NOT about Mary 1, so let's hope someone spots the error and potential buyers aren't confused.
