This is a shortish book, focussed on the elimination and throw-in bridge technique - a very important one in bridge.
The book explains very well several situations under which this technique is appropriate to use. Very often you will find yourself a trick short of making your contract. Using this technique you can surrender a loser to your opponents, and when they lead for the next trick, it is forced to be in your favour (either via ruff and discard, or giving you the opportunity to promote a non-winner in the suit lead.
This gives several examples of the play, and also a a quiz after every section (with a couple of hands for you to plan yourself).
Overall, I would recommend this bridge book as reading for the intermediate bridge player.
