The Elgato Tivizen is a mobile TV tuner for digital terrestrial television (DTT). Without a cable, you can watch television directly on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or your computer.

Live TV without additional cost

You can view all available DTT channels for free live on your iPad, free from worry about your data volume: Elgato Tivizen used for the transmission of the TV signal his own hotspot and requires no internet connection.

Up to 7 days EPG

The Tivizen app offers an integrated program guide (EPG) of up to seven days, with details for each program (provision and amount of program information varies depending on the broadcaster). So you can see easily what's going on now or later on television. Programme details can be sent via email as a recommendation to friends and printed by AirPrint-enabled printers.

Record programmes

With Elgato Tivizen you can record TV shows directly on your iPad. You also have the option to transfer the recordings to your computer later on.

USB tuner operation on both Mac and PC

You want to use the Tivizen as a conventional USB tuner? This option is especially recommended if your computer is connected to a public Wi-Fi network alongside the television and you would also like to use the Internet. Connect the Tivizen to your computer using the included cable. If the next time the device starts up there is no USB connection or known Wi-Fi network available, the device creates a Tivizen hotspot.

Compact & powerful

Tivizen only weighs 68 grammes and is the size of mobile phones so it fits nicely in your bag. It includes a rechargeable battery that offers 3.5 hours of television on the go.

Did you forget to turn your Tivizen off, through the power management it can be programmed to automatically go on standby to conserve battery.

So how it works

The Tivizen mobile TV tuner has a small retractable antenna that receives the DVB-T signal. Tivizen sends the TV signal to your iPad, iPhone or computer. It uses its own specially created hotspot. Tivizen, however, can also connect to the local Wi-Fi network and provide the signal to all connected computers and IOS devices.

If you connect the Tivizen to your Mac or PC via the included USB cable, you can switch to USB mode and use it as a conventional USB TV tuner without Wi-Fi.

Note:

• Tivizen can play MPEG-2 in PAL resolution. MPEG-2 in HD Resolution and MPEG-4/H.264 are not supported by the iPhone and iPad.
• EyeTV and THC can play MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 / H.264 in PAL and HD resolution. For HD in 720p or 1,080i resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo will be provided.
• DVB-T transmissions have different levels of data rates. The picture quality of channels or programmes with very high data rate depends on the actual bandwidth of 802.11g network connection.
• The included TV applications can view program information that is broadcast in the DVB-T stream. Programme data from tvtv is not supported.
