this is the first book by Paullina Simons that I have read, and it won't be my last. This is one of those books that you read at top speed because you are desperate to know what happens next, and when you finally finish it, you're left breathless. Simons is an excellent writer, and I particularly enjoyed the way she tells the story from two viewpoints, that of Didi, the kidnapped woman, and also that of her husband and the police who are trying to find her. It gives the book an almost movie-like feel, and cranks up the tension. I think this book would benefit from being filmed; but, nevertheless, it is a thrilling read (take note anybody who's read Tully, which I have just started - Eleven Hours is completely different).

Eleven hours is a book of desperation, survival, love and instincts. I feel that it has been well written and is a real heart renching demonstration of when your instinct kick into place. It is very tempting to just give in and turn to the back of the novel and see what happens. A really good book with a great theme and a great portrayel of emotions and characters to make that bit more special

I loved this book, really felt like I knew Didi, could really picture everything, I enjoyed this book that much I read it in 2 days. Every time I put this book down had to pick it up again because of the suspense of finding out what would happen next.
I will never forget this story, 12/10, looking forward to reading more of Paullina Simons books.

Could'nt put it down!
This is the first novel i have read in a long time (since having two little children take over my life), my mum recommended it to me and it certainly gave me the reading bug again.

I don't want it to end
I normally only read true stories as fiction tends to bore me. I haven't actually finished this book yet but I can't wait to pick it up and find out the next instalment. Read more

A completely believable scenario - totally gripping
I have read a few of Paullina Simon's books and this is by far my favourite. The main character, Didi is an ordinary, pregnant housewife who finds herself in a nightmare... Read more

Another good book from Paullina Simons, but not her best
It would be impossible to tire of Paullina Simon's books because if there's one thing she isn't, it's formulaic! Read more

Baby pains
This novel grabs you from page one and never relents. It' absorbing, frightening & fast-paced. It makes you angry, sad and at one point I even started feeling sorry for the villain... Read more

A good read
I liked the book but did not like it as much as Tully or Red Leaves.

I love the author and everything she writes is pretty good.

Exciting read!
I really enjoyed this book - I bought it as I had recently read Girl in Times Square - I don't think this does match up to that but it is still well worth a read. Read more
