Preceded by two well-received EPs, 'Elephant Shell' is the debut full-length album from Canadian indie rockers Tokyo Police Club. Featuring the anthemic and jangly single 'Tessellate', this release sees something of a calming of pace for the band (with 'Listen To The Math' standing out as a downbeat highlight). While still frenetic and noisy, 'Elephant Shell' shows a developing sensitivity to dynamic range and emotional mood.
