The glass nail file I was given several years ago having snapped in half, I tried various sources for a good replacement (eBay, the local chemists...). The files I got from there, though cheaper, were inferior in quality and quickly lost their filing powers, which in addition to them being better for your nails is the reason I was looking for a glass one in particular in the first place.
This file, however, does not disappoint. It should last for several years, so is worth the initial investment.

Glass/crystal files (along with mascara) are like the holy grail for me, I'm always looking for the best one!
This one just didn't cut it with me. In fact, I've only used it twice. The first time, and the second time just to check it was as useless as I thought it was the first time round!
Save your money, add some more to it and buy either a Leighton Denny or an OPI. Both are good, OPI I think is a bit grittier than Leighton Denny.
However, if you buy the small Leighton Denny it comes with an aluminium case (well, part of it is aluminium). This means you can pop it in your handbag and you're not going to get any nasty surprises (like the file broken into two pieces).
It's my belief that all crystal files should be rinsed in warm water after use to clear out the nail dust and restore the file to it's original condition.

I have a glass nail file (a different make), so I know that some glass nail files can work efficiently. I bought this one for a gift unfortunately and it was over 30 days before it was tested (will have to source a different model). This particular product does not work at all, do not waste your money. Very disappointing

very faulty
packaging and delivery were very good. But actual item i ordered was very faulty, the nail file just didn't work....... don't buy!!!!

Pink Crystal Glass Nail File
Although the colour is very pretty, the nail file is rather small it's ok to keep in a handbag but not really large enough to use for a complete manicure.

Good nail file!
This is a very useful product, as it works really well and it doesn't take ages to file your nails! However, it does leave white dust after you have filed your nails. Read more

avoid
this file is dreadful,the first time you use it its fine, the file then clogs with nail dust and makes it unuseable. the saying BUY CHEAP BUY TWICE certainly applies. Read more
