This review is from: Electronic Speedlight Speedlite flash flashgun for Canon 1Ds,5D,7D,40D,50D,60D,450D,500D,550D,600D,1100D,Nikon D700,D300,D90,D60,D3,D2,D1,D7000,D5100,D5000,D3100,D3000,Olympus E620,E520,E450,E-30,E-5,E-3,Pentax,K-r,K-5,K-7,K-x,Fuji DSLR(Supprot 2 slave modes:E-TTL & i-TTL,YN460-II)
Bought this with mixed expectations on how good this product was going to be. After playing with it for a day or so i have been very pleasantly surprised! The flash is made of a tough grippy plastic, which feels much more robust and reassuring than what i was expecting it to be made of. The flash head rotates smoothly with a satifying click, and shows no sign of play or weakness once clicked into position. The "idiot lights" are bright, almost dazzling at times and can easily be viewed from the other side of a room in any light conditions. I had heard of the flash being a little temperamental with some batteries, i popped in 4 maplin own brand batteries and it hasn't missed an exposure! It's an all manual flash so you will have to keep running back and setting the power level yourself. Start up time is around 7 seconds for any power level, full power i had 5 second recharge (Approx) which slowly increased as the batteries died. At the lowest level this flash can keep up with 5fps from my D200 easily for over 7 frames (very very handy for any kind of sports shooting) I use this on a set of Yongnuo Rf-602 wireless triggers and it hasn't missed a pop. Very reliable, shot around 500 frames with it already and has shown no sign of giving up. This flash is highly recommended as a back up, slave or even an on camera flash if your on a budget. I have been so impressed with this i've ordered the Yongnuo Yn-465, TTL enabled flash. Bargain!

This YN 460 MK2 speedlite is good value for money. You can use it on most Digital SLR cameras (not Sony) and the real bonus for me is that you can use it off camera wirelessly with most Canon or Nikon cameras. I use it with my Nikon D70s alongside my Nikon SB800 speedlite. It can bounce and swivel and has a diffuser built in for wide angle flash. I can trigger it in synch with my other flashgun and control the power output manually to control the flash output. Okay, it is not as sophisticated as my SB800 or built as well but then again it is under £50 and the Nikon is nearly £300!Excellent value, good results and fairly easy to use. Buy one now!

All these flashguns, BV sell are very good. I have had three flashguns from this seller now plus other bits and bobs for my Canon 500D. I intend to set up a home studio, with all three of these flashguns in manual mode, but I will be using their radio tigger PT-04 to fire them.Their flashguns are a third of the price and do what they say they do. With a couple of stands and unbrellas, they will make a portable budget studio set. I can not recommended these flash guns and the seller enough.
