I recieved this flash as a gift. It is of very good quality manufacture. However it is not designed to communicate electronically with the camera, the camera only triggers the flash, the hotshoe of the flash has only the power contacts. The flash is connected to the minolta flash mount via a supplied adapter which looks like it is compatable with generic computerised speedlites.
The flash power is set manually, which is no bad thing. The rear panel shows the power level and mode selected via bright led lights. The flash seems to be quite happy to work with NIMH batteries and recharges quickly particularly at half power output or below.
Very happy with this gift and would reccomend it to anyone looking for a simple flash or a slave flash.

This is a worth buy. It works well with my sony alpha 230. would recommend this to starters who does not want to spend much on camera stuffs just yet.

This flash is really worth buying, it fits nice onto the camera and works very smoothly, also the added features just make it more unique.
As i have found out that alot of (pro's) use this kinda flash, which just proves your getting a great deal.

Disappointed
This product looks and feels very good quality but it's battery life is appalling. Using standard AA batteries I managed about 15 flashes before it gave up. Read more

Not Compatible with Sony Alpha 330
