2.0 out of 5 stars Not enough "granularity" 22 May 2001
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover
A full treatment that seems to miss out on the fact that e-business is just one aspect of business. The exposition of the technical aspects of e-commerce is suitable for non technical staff, and the business aspects of the book are suitable for business managers coming out of the technical sphere for the first time. The book does not, go into any depth on either the business or technical aspects and so is "stuck in the middle".

The book explains all e-commerce related research issues (e.g. intelligent agents) with selected Case Studies and therefore you get a better understanding of the e-market.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book!!! 6 Jun 2005
Format:Paperback
This is an excellent book that covers all areas of Electronic Commerce in detail. It is a very well structured book. The teaching & writing style is equally good. It covers areas such as EC models and applications, Internet marketing, implementing EC, security & e-payments, customer relationship management, supply chain management, EC strategy, legality issues, etc, etc.
Every chapter has real life examples to relate to. Each chapter ends with a focus on managerial issues.
As the back cover of the book says "this is the only text you need for Electronic Commerce"! This book is a must buy! I highly recommend it!

Format:Hardcover
An excellent and comprehensive (although 1 year old by now} introduction to electronic commerce. Ideal and the must for non-IT managers in all types of businesses.
One forgives the publishers hundreds of misspelled words - time to market is the name of the game in e-commerce. Perhaps the next edition will be neater.
One irritating thing about it is that it refers to its Companion Web site (page xxxi and 252) but never gives its address. The reason it is doubly irritating, is that the authors strongly advise others to give online contact in any hard copies yet are careless enough not to follow their own advise.
Pls someone tell me: Does this Companion Web site at all exist?!
