There are one or two caveats, though. The first is that this is a slightly evolved version of FIFA 2004, albeit with some welcome, if unessential new features. The biggest of these is a morale system, where more confident players tend to do better, while those on the receiving end of hammerings and bookings don't. Some additional skills, options and graphical tweaks pretty much see out the rest of the changes. The second caveat is that the game, by nature of being tied into the tournament itself, doesn't offer very prolonged long-term appeal, although undoubtedly you'll enjoy yourself while it lasts.
In short though, UEFA Euro 2004 is a very good, superbly presented and enjoyable football game. And while those who bought FIFA 2004 may not be getting quite the same value for money out of it as everyone else, it's ultimately hard to quibble about the quality of the football on offer. --Simon Brew

euro 2004,
By A Customer
This review is from: UEFA EURO 2004 (Xbox) (Video Game)
This game is nearly the same as fifa 2004, but with some minor changes. The changes are not enough to go out and get the game, but this is why you should. On fifa 2004 you can't take your country all 51 teams, into a cup. on this you can take your country all the way to portugal. start from the qualifying stages as well as some friendlies to help pick your team, to the finals if you make it. but an in injury may stop a player from going, so be careful who you pick for friendlies and the last qualifying stages. This game is a bit faster the fifa 2004 and more realistic. The graphics are great.so at the price its at this game is a must buy.

Very good on the whole..............,
This review is from: UEFA EURO 2004 (Xbox) (Video Game)
Euro 2004 is a well designed game, with all European nations included. The graphics are very smooth and sharp accompanied with great commentary (sometimes a bit confusing!!). Unofficial names for the Dutch team is also a disappointment (Ned21, Ned19 etc. for the names). There is a variety of difficulty settings, which suit all levels of players. Great on single player, and fantastic if playing with your friends, and for just £16.99, it's a bargain!!!

Nothing new,
This review is from: UEFA EURO 2004 (Xbox) (Video Game)
This game is a lazy piece of programming, I loved FIFA 2004 and i think it is the best football sim around, better than pro ev which this year failed to make any advances. This game however is simply a dumbed down version of FIFA 2004, it has less options less teams (to be expected) Loses the fatigue factor, and adds nothing, no intro with real players, no dvd content (world cup 2002 had it, its only saving grace)No real Euro atmosphere and the commentators have been giving only a hand full of new things to say. The graphics are brighter, the off the ball controls harder to work, the shooting weaker and also harder to score, no way of taking a short corner still, no new player animations, oh and Holland have made their long awaited return to FIFA only to have no real player names for them!! Just Ned 1, Ned 2, Ned 3 etc. This is shoddy stuff and should be rejected or else they will keep turning out minor adjusted stuff as new when this isn't even an upgrade as it doesn't fix any of the minor problems and only adds more. The CPU will still roll the ball out to his nearest player allowing you to tackle him and score pass a stranded keeper, one thing they should have fixed but they haven't bothered doing anything with this title. Don't Buy.
