I really enjoy this game because it is very cool and your Hero is personalized. You have to undertake missions to protect the creatures on this strange world from an evil monster that comes from a red meteor from another planet.
This game is different from Spore on the DS and on the PC (which I still think is the best one).

Gameplay-wise, Spore Hero is more enjoyable and consistent than its PC counterpart. In addition to this, the graphics are bright and colourful, and each area on the planet has its own unique look and environment. There are six areas in total: Mushroom Valley, Ancient Grounds, Moonlit Stoneway, Mushroom Grove, Moonlight Caverns and Creature Beach.

The Creature Creator in Spore Hero doesn't provide as much freedom as the PC version however, but it doesn't stop you from creating a range of weird and wonderful creations. Unfortunately it isn't possible to share your creations online, and I believe there is a limit to the number of creatures you can create. It also isn't possible to create legless creatures, so creating deadly slug monsters is unfortunately out of the question.

The main storyline is interesting, but it is far too short. In my opinion it would have benefited from at least another chapter or two.

Spore Hero also boasts multiplayer support, but it isn't online unfortunately, which is a missed opportunity as it would have been interesting to fight other people's creations in a race to be at the top of the leaderboard.

The game has good replay value, but only if you like collecting things. Once you've completed the main story, you can go back to different levels and collect all of the blue meteorites and creature parts that you missed.

Spore Hero is a very fun and engaging game, despite its short story and lack of online multiplayer. If you weren't a fan of the similar DS game, Spore Creatures (Nintendo DS), you'll probably enjoy this game much more.

I know nothing about console or computer games, but this has kept my children involved and quiet for ages, great for when there is ice and snow outside!

I got this game and at first i thought it was great. you can create your creature with loads of diferent parts. but once i got to the end of an area called the moonlit caverns, my game started glitching up. there was a person in the game who told me to go and speak to a guy called the old sage because he would explain something to me, and when i spoke to him he just spoke his default sentences!!

overall a good game but i hate the fact that ill never be able to complete it.

My nine year old says this game is brilliant but over before you know it. Once you get the main story plot it's sooooo short. He wishes he'd bought Spore for PC/Mac instead because he says each time you play it the game is different with different plot and monsters etc, unlike the Wii version.

Really fun. Even our dad likes it. You can make your creatures as wild and wacky as you like. My one currently looks like a two legged frog. Battles are good, but can be complicated when doing combinations.
