5.0 out of 5 stars Smarty Pants - Fun for all the family 6 Dec 2007
By P. Lane
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
The first quiz game for the Wii doesn't disappoint. Quality questions that are aimed at ages 8-80 come thick and fast with questions suited to the age of the person whose turn it is. For the first time a games company have actually bothered to create a game that all the family can actually play together on a level playing field.

The breadth of questions is fantastic and is extremely current including films released as recently as November 2007 for example. The only criticism I'd make is that there could have been more breadth of gameplay and perhaps more mini games but overall a storming game for everyone to play together.

4.0 out of 5 stars Simple Quiz Game - but great fun 25 Nov 2007
By HMD
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this to play with family and friends. It's a very straightforward quiz game, with fairly limited gaming options.

On the first day I brought it home, my wife and 14 year old son played it for about 3 hours straight and both thoroughly enjoyed it.

Although there are a few nods towards the Wii remotes cababilities (e.g. the Double Point dance!), there aren't many, and essentiially this is a nicely implemented buzzer based quiz, with a few twists that add to the fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Family Fun 3 April 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game with the idea it would entertain the whole family, and what a good buy!
From my the 10 year old to the 50 year old (and many in between) in our house it keeps us all laughing and enjoying ourselves.
I do agree if you only have one remote it's a bit useless as i didnt enjoy the single modes as much, but the multiplayer is amazing.
It allows for all of the players ages to be taken into consideration when picking questions, so gives us younger players a better shot, especially good for entertaining the kids, as they can interact much better, unlike the likes of Buzz for ps2 which has preset questions they find hard to undertand and answer.

I'm giving it a 5/5 for good family fun but do understand it isn't quite up there with some off the other games for 1player fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Smarty Pants! 28 Aug 2009
By K Holl
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I really enjoyed this game as it is good to play with family and friends. It is a quiz game with questions about lots of different subjects such as music, TV, and general knowledge. The questions are filtered according to your age.

To answer a question you have to raise your hand with the wii remote in, which is quite a good idea. The quicker you answer the question the more points you earn. You can play on your own too, which is just as fun.

Like most wii games you use your Mii. The game has good graphics and music. I would recommend this game to all the family from the age 7 and up, as you will need the ability to read.

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm a Smarty Pants ... Are You? 20 July 2009
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Smartypants (Wii)

This game reminds me of a friends episode where Joey is the host and there were loads of cards with silly names - this is very similar!

My husband and I really enjoyed playing this game. I played earlier in the day with my son who is 4 and although he can't read much he thought it was fun trying to find the right answer by guessing and the cheeky boy got quite a few right!

I prefered this game to buzz because it is simple, quick and wacky and doesn't take ages to set up (setting up the buzzers unless you've got wireless of course)!

I haven't given it 5 stars because it does say that questions are based on your age but when my son was playing the questions were still quite hard.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
If you love Trivial Pursuit, you'll love this! It's basically a quiz game, and if you don't expect anything more from it than that, then you certainly won't be disapponted.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun 18 July 2008
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I know there are a lot of reviews on here saying that this game is boring and rubbish, well I didn't find that at all. Sure the one player mode may get boring after a while but whenever did find a quiz game that was fun to play just by yourself. I got this game yesterday and have played it at least three times with my boyfriend, some of the modes are better than others, but we found very entertaining and the question certainly weren't too easy and were very up to date.

3.0 out of 5 stars This is what i am!!
Enjoy this game, good fun. Although it does say 3+ the children do need to be able to read, so i think the age limit should be raised. Otherwise quite enjoyable!
