well overall it is a good game though when you play it for a long time, you start to unlock nearly all the animals and there isnt alot of animals to collect. The best bit is that u can train them and they upgrade powers wich help u in the game and when u gain there trust you can contral them which is really fun i think the lion is the best to contral because you can hunt and the gazzle where u can run really fast and dodge getting eaten its a real laugh and some good times in it overall best simanimal game alough not alot of animals. hope u enjoy it (i did) :)

My son (a reasonably intelligent 5 year old), got this AND 'world of zoo' for xmas.He took a few days to get into this, it's a lot more involved that WOZ - WOZ is very instant & cute. But it lacks depth - this gives that extra depth. I'd say he was WOZ solid for 7 days, but it's pretty much played out now, this one has taken over AND will last a lot longer. I do wonder about those PEGI ratings though (they are both PEGI 3), there is a lot of reading to do in this game, my son really struggles - how could a 3 year old possibly play at all? Having said that, he's further through the game than me...could it be he's playing while I'm slaving away at work?!!! Oh to be young again!

An ok game, if you're about 10 years old. There is very little to do in the game, and you are likely to have it finished very quickly if you are an experienced gamer. Younger gamers are more likely to enjoy this, but it has two vital flaws in this regard:1. Some of the challenges can be very difficult, and I honestly don't see a younger child being able to complete the game without the assistance of an older/more experienced gamer, 2. The animals eat each other. Granted, the only predators in the game are lions and crocodiles, and the only animals that get eaten are zebras and gazelle, but that only leaves you with elephants, rhinos, hippos and giraffes (and gorillas at the very end) left. Yes, there are only 9 species in the whole game, and it is really quite frustrating (and upsetting) to have your gazelle/zebra eaten when you are trying to complete a task, especially if you've spent a lot of energy building them up. At least the game tells you when a crocodile/lion is on the hunt, so you can quickly switch over and control that animal so they don't kill your precious herbivore. But I can see younger gamers getting very upset that their favourite zebra has just been eaten. It is kinda fun to control the animals, especially the faster ones like the zebra, gazelle and lions, and the baby animals are agreeably cute. But I'm just not sure about this game. The level of difficult (for the most part) and the overly cutesie graphics suggest a child's game, but the disappointent and upset at having your favourite zebra eaten discourages me from suggesting this is a 'child-friendly' game. Yes, it is realistic for animals to hunt and eat each other, but that really isn't needed in a game that is so obviously aimed at kids.
