As a die hard Sims fan (with huge gaps in between sessions though) I decided to skip number 2 & go straight to number 3. Honestly, at first, it was all a bit too different to what I was used to & I wasn't really enjoying it. After 2 days I suddenly became a decrepit old woman & discovered you have to adjust the settings regarding how long your Sim spends at a certain life stage, so deleted that game & started again. After 3 days I nearly gave up playing it (especially when the Firewoman came to put out a kitchen fire & then just sort of got stuck in my kitchen & stayed there for around 1 "sim" week!) until I deleted that game & started yet again. I also very quickly got fed up with the little thing popping up asking me to share each & every single little achievement (Congratulations, your Sim just wiped her own bum!) on Facebook/Twitter/everything, until I realised I could play offline & not be stalked by Social networking offers! (I know some feel the need, but I prefer to have a life! [Albeit a Sim one, ha ha!]) So, by day 3 I very nearly threw in the towel. Anyway, figured I'd stick with it a little longer & once you get used to the changes, it isn't half bad. I've not played it fully, in as much as collecting fish/rocks etc (not sure how as havn't explored that aspect, but I may do in the future) but have played it in the old fashioned Sim way of getting a job, earning promotions & saving up enough money to build the house of my dreams & a top of the range sports car on the drive, not to mention gardens to rival anything Monty Don could dream up! So, it's not as bad as it first seemed & with a bit of patience is just as fun as all the other Sim games.
