Now I have two NBA live titles including this and the 2005 version,and I can see a lot of improvement in the 06 version.The croud sound like they are at a real match, there are huge differences in the graphics and there is no more dodgy shooting styles that the likes of Shaq and Tim Duncan used to use (It changed to a much better shot).The All star weekend has been massively changed,especially the dunk contest.Also in the player introduction bit at the start of a match,It says the positon of the player,the player and his number,making it more realistic (last years just said the player and his position.)However, the one thing that makes this game special from others is the fact that some players are freestyle superstars,meaning they can perform special moves others may not.This is another great basketball game which I would recommend to all basketball fans and I can't wait till 07 is released.

this is the best nba yet far better than the 2005 version. the slam dunk contest is alot better and the all-star weekend is excellent. the grapics are awsome and the overall gameplay is far better, you can turn immpossible situations into scoring opportunities and the defence side of the game is brilliant.
overall this game is a must buy and i would recomend it to all. if you like basketball buy it and if you dont like basketball buy it. you will soon love it.

At first glance NBA 06 looks like just little more than the old NBA except with new rosters and a few new stadiums, however the people who think this are wrong. NBA 06 is actually a whole new game with more tricks, shots and different objectives in the game such as new objective plays were you have a set amount of time to score up to 40 points and bring your team into a winning game oppertunity.
As usual there are th slam dunk contests and the 3-point shootout. The graphics are brilliant for the PS2 and not much different from the PSP version either, the sound is good and there are more features what the commentators say. The only thing the game is lacking is the trick competition which featured in this years all star weekend at houston.
Overall this is a great sporting game and a large improvement to the old NBA series!
